“The Book of Will
Movement Director Jonnie Riordan has created these segments of physical theatre to cleverly represent the passing of time whilst the characters take on the tedious task of scouring through various papers to edit for the folio and the printing process itself. These moments of movement allow the energy flow of the performance to continue and keep the audience very much engaged.”
“Nigel Slater’s Toast
It would only be those of the sourest disposition who could not love this bitter-sweet show which, in the hands of director and choreographer Jonnie Riordan, becomes a delicate and sometimes surreal coming-of-age romp which is whisked together using the songs, tastes and smells that deliver us straight back to childhood.”
“How Not to Drown - Traverse Theatre
This work is a triumph from beginning to end... In terms of choreography, How Not To Drown grapples with gorgeous physicality that combines the raw brutality of life, with a smooth and effortless wave of calm that juxtaposes the play’s constant undertones of tension.”
